Media Release: Swan & Maclaren Group wins illumination tender for Six Flags Qiddiya, world’s biggest theme park.
7 May 2024, Singapore – Swan & Maclaren Group (SMG), Singapore’s leading architectural design, illumination engineering and green tech solution provider with over 30 years’ experience in professional lighting, via its subsidiary, SM C2R, has secured its first Middle East illumination engineering tender, the Six Flags Qiddiya theme park, which is projected to be the world’s biggest theme park and estimated to be completed before early 2025.
The tender was awarded by a joint venture between Bouygues Bâtiment International (BBI) and Saudi Almabani General Contractors (AGC) and valued at around USD 28 million.
The scope of the tender includes the development design and engineering; manufacture, supply and delivery; supervision of Installation, testing and commissioning of special lighting and lighting control system for the theme park in Riyadh.

This is SMG’s first illumination engineering mega theme park project in the Middle East. Previously, the group had clinched several other iconic projects including the 2018 Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremony in Pyeongchang, the Venetian Macao, Marina Bay Sands and other award winning architectural and master planning designs including Shanghai Raffles Hospital, Holland Piazza (Singapore) and Garden City Lao Cai City (Vietnam).
