New Shareholders & Independent Director joining Swan & Maclaren Group

We are pleased to announce that in the month of August 2024, we have the privilege and honour of including four new shareholders to Swan & Maclaren Group (SMG) – joining the fray of a current eminent and influential shareholders within SMG. The four new shareholders include:

• Mr Benny Tay, Senior Director, Prudential Singapore
• Mr Keith Magnus, Chairman Asia, Evercore Group
• Mr Lam Kok Shang, Retired KPMG Partner, Independent Director & ARC Chairman, TalkMed Group
• Mr Wee Siew Kim, Co-President Nippon Paint Group, Group CEO NIPSEA Group

In addition, Swan & Maclaren Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Lam Kok Shang as our Independent Director, with effect from 1 October 2024. Mr. Lam brings over 36 years of experience and expertise in the public accounting sector, specialising in corporate tax and GST. His extensive experience spans multiple industries, including financial services, asset management, real estate, government, and healthcare.

Prior to his appointment to SMG’s board, Mr. Lam headed the Indirect Tax Practice of KPMG Singapore – where he recently retired as Partner. Mr. Lam currently serves as the Audit & Risk Committee Chairman at TalkMed Group Limited (SGX mainboard), where is he also an Independent Director. Mr. Lam is also a fellow member of the Singapore Chartered Accountants, an Australian Chartered Accountant, a part-time lecturer at the Singapore Tax Academy, and is member of the GST Committee of the Singapore Institute of Tax Professionals. Mr Lam is an Accredited Income tax and GST Advisor.

Mr. Lam’s wealth of experience in the public and private sectors will add further depth to SMG’s board. His guidance and insights will further drive our Group as we continue to grow from strength to strength.
