We were recently invited to present at the Conference of Global Climate Action Forum 2024, held from May 15-17 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and our CEO, @Lim Chai Boon, and Senior Vice President, @Mathew Hon, represented SMG at the event. This significant event was organized by Cambodia’s @Ministry of Environment and @W Foundation.

At the conference, SMG’s CEO @Lim Chai Boon provided valuable insights on the uniqueness of sustainable hospital designs and the substantial carbon footprint hospitals contribute. He emphasized how we can mitigate this impact during the planning stage and shared key learnings from our past hospital designs such as the Shanghai Raffles Medical Hospital.

“Designing hospitals with sustainability in mind is not just an option, but a responsibility. By innovating at the planning stage, we can significantly reduce the carbon footprint and create healthier environments for all,” @Lim Chai Boon, CEO SMG.

SMG’s Senior Vice President, @Mathew Hon delivered an inspiring presentation on sustainable urban planning, highlighting some of our pivotal projects like the @Aquaflora Masterplan Development in Long An, Vietnam, and the @Grandeur Lake Urban Planning in Chau Pha, Vietnam.

Additionally, they had the opportunity to meet with @H.E. Preap Kol, Minister to the Prime Minister of Cambodia, to discuss how Cambodia’s future building plans and designs can benefit from our expertise and sustainable designs at (SMG).
