We are delighted to share that our Executive Chairman, Robert Yap, recently participated as a panellist at the “Harnessing the Power of AI in the Digitalization Journey” event. This exciting panel was part of the Microsoft Copilot launch event, where Microsoft collaborates with Enterprise Singapore, AI Singapore, and the Infocomm Media Development Authority to accelerate AI transformation for SMEs with the AI Pinnacle Program.

As part of Swan & Maclaren Group’s AI initiative, we are thrilled to collaborate with Microsoft to enhance our design and build workflow by integrating advanced technologies, including AI and AR/VR, within the fields of architecture, engineering, and construction. Microsoft’s CoPilot is instrumental across SMG’s corporate functions and business units, optimizing resources and supporting daily tasks. This integration allows our team to focus more on high-value activities that align with their personal passions and are crucial for the Group’s success. We look forward to CoPilot’s continued evolution and its capacity to tackle increasingly complex, multi-step problems.

“Artificial intelligence is transforming the built environment sector in remarkable ways,” said Robert Yap, Executive Chairman of Swan & Maclaren Group. “At Swan & Maclaren Group, we are leveraging AI to drive innovation, enhance sustainability, and improve efficiency across all our projects. By integrating advanced technologies, we are able to optimize design processes, reduce environmental impact, and deliver superior outcomes for our clients. The collaboration between Microsoft and key Singaporean agencies underscores the importance of AI in propelling businesses forward, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this digital revolution. This technological revolution also necessitates an evolution in our hiring practices to ensure the Group’s continued relevance. With rapid technological advancements, we place a greater emphasis on the attributes of a knowledge worker: curiosity, open-mindedness, and adaptability are essential qualities we seek in prospective team members.

Stay tuned for more updates on our AI journey and how we continue to integrate cutting-edge technology into our architectural and design processes.
